I upvote you for Trail of Dead alone, a record that Pitchfork originally gave a perfect 10 to and now is... nowhere on the list. Okay, it may be on the list - I stopped looking.

Never been a fan of Trent's music, sorry, but I dig where he's coming from with this rant. There is a place called the Well where you have to register with a credit card, and then the name on your card becomes your user name - there is no anonymity. I think teh webz could use a little less anonymity. That is why I must now admit, I am really David Bowie. Thank you.

good for Ryan, but please, dear God, do not let Mandy "contribute" guest "vocals" on any of Ryan's music.

Ryan is making me sad. He's not old enough to be playing this mellow dad-rock, and for someone who cites everyone from X to Black Flag to Gram Parsons as influences... Why not release that complete cover of The Strokes' first album that you made? Live, Ryan is one of the most enthralling performers I've ever seen, but he keeps churning out tepid albums. Venti fail.

Yeah, I don't really get it either. This is dancing? Those crazy kids. This video creeped me out, because I could picture the people filming it as being one tiny, tiny step removed from asking these dancers to be in their porno.

My grandmother was from Abilene, Texas, and used to drench vegetables in Miracle Whip. Imagine a bowl of green beans stuck together with Miracle Whip. No matter how many short-haired cuties dancing on rooftops they choose to cram into their commercials, Miracle Whip will always be my Grandmother's drug of choice.

Why not do one of those elephant-in-the-room horrible movies that we're all avoiding? Why not view one of those torture-porn films that no one loves? Or how about a film that really shoves down the viewer's throat what Heineke wanted to do? I would like to read Gabe's vivisection of the film and the entire genre and the society that pays for product like it.

I hereby nominate "Saw" and "Irreversible," but only with the stipulation that you skip "Irreversible" because it does plant some nightmare scenes on your eyeballs and your brain. Irreversible should have all copies collected and burned, including the negative. That film made me hurt. Anyway, there it is.
