Granted, but that was just one role. And he was pretty awful in RocknRolla, but that movie just plain sucked so I can't really pin it on him.

whenever i see subtitles for people speaking broken English, I go awww, your accent sucks, too bad. it's like how toshiro mifune would do his darndest to phonetically learn his lines in English only to have the director choose to dub his lines in later. (b/c he was The Worst). Then he would be all :(. it also happened to mifune in spanish. `:~(

on the other hand, they also put in subtitles in the Deadliest Catch sometimes, b/c you simply cant fucking hear them. so i agree, no need to get anyone's panties in a bunch regarding subtitles for anyone.

whatever magical, spontaneous honesty she brought to her acting at that age has clearly disappeared because she's making my eyes really angry with how bad she is now.

I'm sure it's great publicity for her to tell everyone that he's a piece of shit and share this banter with him, but if she's doing it for other reasons, my God I think I might love her a little bit. It's like one of Paltrow's kids complaining about her parenting(Obviously it's not as amazing as that would be, but you know what I mean. How long until Apple and Moses can talk?)

I saw X-Men the other day and was stunned at how Anna Paquin managed an even worse Southern accent than the one she has on True Blood. Although she seemed to realize it because she dropped it about halfway through.

Just to remind everyone, this woman won an Oscar.
