Despite the fact that I'm seriously dubious about some positions of some albums, somehow this still is the best BEST list I've seen; so refreshing to see no Animal Collective or Grizzly Bear! #minoritygum
Though seriously, Twilight Sad's Forget The Night Ahead instead of Fourteen Autumns And Fifteen Winters? I love both these albums, but NME, come on, first one's so much better.

I'm wrestling with the pride of my city being mentioned on VGum, and the horror of how it has happened.
Man, I thought I found Ottawa boring; could Joe be more exhausted by his suburban home and the weight of the giant brim of his hat?

Ugh, YES, what the fuck was up with those gloves? Every week I try to watch a full episode of this to have something to laugh at on Vgum, and every week I end up getting bored 15 minutes in or something ridiculous happens and I end up shutting it off in disgust. Somehow among all the ludicrous stuff in this episode, that's the thing that tipped me over the edge?

I only watched about 30 minutes before switching to watch repeats of Friends, so I guess I thought it was pretty boring? But I didn't really not like it either, I just thought watching Chandler and Monica get married again would be a better use of my semi-attention. There really isn't much to watch on Tuesday! Which means I'll probably end up watching V for at least another couple weeks.
And can I just say fucking fantastic recap?

Lol, well if makes you feel better it would seem I'm rather in the minority! I just thought it so ridiculous (and I'm usually one to eat that shit up!), that I had to pause nearly every scene to go look it up to see if this was supposed to be actually serious or not. The organic tech slayed me. And the fucking dog at the end? Genius! If there's one thing eXistenZ did well was give my family comedy material for days. I'm sorry Cronenberg fans!

Is there any Videogum etiquette on how many times you should nominate a film? Wait. What am I talking about? We're all monsters here!
Gabe, please do eXistenZ. I will even mail you my copy I bought on a whim that time because I'd just gotten my discount from work and it said Callum Keith Rennie was in it and I'd totally just fallen in love after watching Hard Core Logo #needlessdetail
It's also ridiculously .gif worthy.

with 8 tweets, I have basically tweeted as much as I have ever commented on Vgum, but as a loyal and constant lurker (stalker?) I LOVE ALL YOU GUYS.

I went to see it with two of my best friends, one of whom was completely unfamiliar with the book (deprived childhood?!), and coming out of the movie, none of us knew what to say, just silently got into my car and drove away. People keep saying it's a beautifully shot movie, and I guess it was! But somehow I totally didn't notice? Because crying and loving and happiness.
So, Jonze and Eggers, great job! In The Night Kitchen next please???

Stephen Merchant just loves The Rock, you guys. If he had to kiss a man, it would be Dwayne Johnson. Or The Boss, but he takes what he can get.
