Hi Mr. Bentley, my name is Lance Hall. I am currently a graduate student here at Western Illinois University in macomb Illinois. I am writing you because I am part of a family of 11 where my parents have 9 kids that we are aware of. I am the second oldest of the family as I have one older brother. Some of us were adopted "Terrance (25), Wanda (23), Latasha (17), Don (12), and myself (24)". Iesha (22) and Lana (15) remained with my father as the other two was placed else where.

The reason I am writing you is because we grew up in a rough environment where jail was our next phase in life. My current foster parents treated us like such as we grew up. Even though I managed to go to college and then continue my education and get my Masters Degree I still found myself in jail for theft and making wrong decisions. Nevertheless, this is not why I am writing. Because I am blessed to have the resources such as the internet,

I wanted to write on the behalf of my older brother "Terrance". He has been in and out of jail and has a couple of felony's on his record and in my opinion is in the gang. We all looked up to him while growing up as a role model but his decisions in life has caused us to stray away from that. He has a great daughter in which he is not even allowed over the house because of his actions. I just want this to get better. I have prayed for a change as I saw the show "From G's to Gents". I feel in my heart that God has answered my prayers. However, I do not know who to get in contact with to even submit or fill out an application. I hope this is the right resource. Mr. Bentley, I hope there is something that can be done.

Honestly,

Lance Hall
