I don't think I've ever regretted listening to a Pet Shop Boys song. That was a fun few minutes out of my day.

This is such devoid hipster nonsense. Yucky yuck yuck. In 1991 we used to hear this garbage and change the station.

I can't believe how shafted the Boss was for his original song on "The Wrestler". For that matter, you can't tell me there weren't ANY other movies this year that had original songs other than Slumdog Millionaire and Wall-E.

I was impressed that they had the audacity to sing Jai Ho and Down to Earth at the same time, highlighting the fact that both songs are actually the same damned song.

It's taken be about twenty years to discover that Bruce Springsteen is fantastic. Thanks, Ronald Reagan, for making me think "Born in the U.S.A." was a pop paen to America. As a result, I dismissed them faster than I could sneeze. It's taken several friends who's musical tastes I trust to finally come over to the other side.

Last night was an amazing concert. Springsteen so clearly loves what he does that it's impossible to stop watching him.

Ugh, the Yeah Yeah Yeah's are still on the cultural radar? I saw them six years ago at Irving Plaza when they opened for Sleater-Kinney. They were awful. It would be fantastic to see Leonard Cohen, though.

This reminds me of George Lucas' senior student film, except shorter. The difference? Lucas focused on the car. Corgan focused on being an editor for a commercial about a car. What a self-important schmuck.

I'm inexplicably drawn to Lily Allen. New stuff hasn't grabbed me as much as Alright, Still, but she's almost too much fun to criticize.

Arcade Fire goes from bland indifference to outrageous passionate love for me. This one has too much of a late 70's sugar pop feel to it. I wouldn't even say T-Rex or Bowie like Evan - more like Captain and Tennille and the Jackson Five, but less happy.

I made it twenty minutes into this movie before turning it off. Yay for me, I can recognize a bad movie!

Now I'll go back to nominating "The Apple" (1980) as the absolute most astoundingly bad film I have ever been unable to stop watching. Xanadu meets Rocky Horror produced by EWTN. No, really.

I agree with everyone about "Punchdrunk Love" being a fantastic movie. I know I've said it before, but this whole Gen X 'everything sucks' mentality mixed with Gen Y 'everything that sucks is good' mentality is getting overdone and tired. Replace WMOAT with some positivity, and start finding movies that are really fucking good that nobody's given due credit.

Either that, or go back to WMOAT that are actually WMOAT, like "The Apple". What? You haven't seen "The Apple"? The rock opera contemporary of "Xanadu" about Satan using Glam Rock to ruin a world of Jesus-loving Hippies? Well, then, continue with this jaded column and get reviewing...
