I had to fear tears while watching tv with my wife so she wouldn't make fun of me.

I feel like maybe Lady Gaga saw "Sleep Away Camp" at a very young age. Half her poses remind me of that creepy ass final shot.

Alright, I'm going to put my nerd hat on, here. V (at least the original mini series) was written as an allegory for the rise of the Nazi party. Now, clearly there are some errors in the writers' perspective of the Nazi's progress in a constitutional democracy, but that was the intention. I have severe doubts that any changes have been made in order to make some sort of commentary regarding the current administration. Just take it all as Nazi stuff and it shouldn't be so upsetting.

this comment is perhaps more poignant than I found the movie to be as I watched it, but now I'm thinking back and there were definitely "moments" (that's what jonze does best, right gabe?) like that all throughout the movie. I was not disappointed by the film, but it certainly didn't have some of the qualities I expected. it is what it is, however, and I accept it on its own terms. I'm going to keep the wheels turning, though, because I think it has more to offer beneath the surface.

from this point forward, when someone says something I don't like to me, I will invoke God's blessings repeatedly.

since we're discussing A.D. for whatever reason,

at the risk of being down-voted, "sit down, shut up" has greatly improved.
we should watch it now.
