It’s hard to explain in words how irritating it is that the subtitles didn’t keep in time with the words.

I feel like when the Correct Horse at the end of the clip says “Yuo are smart,” it’s like he’s talking directly to me!
That New Girl episode last night was indeed very good. I was thinking, as I watched it, that this would be a good episode to show someone who had never watched the show before to show exactly what made it a good sitcom. It is my favorite sitcom on TV right now.
If you only saw a few episodes in Season 1, give it another try. It has improved greatly since the first season.

I feel sorta like I’m standing outside, blinking in the sunlight, for the first time in a long time.
Yesterday I handed in my dissertation to my committee. I’m a bit nervous. I’ll be defending it on May 2 and I’ll be very, very relieved to finally have a PhD.
Oh and I’ve been promoted to an associate professor (with tenure!), which is nice.
