I think the reason they don’t mention it anymore is intentional. It served as a way to get Walt to do something he would not have done in the past and I think that eventually it will come back. His mortality is kind of what makes him an asshole now. he’s so focused on Skylar and his family that he’s lost track of what he’s actually doing. Knowing that this is the last season this will be all about Walt’s destruction and it’s going to be awesomely interesting to see just how it’s done.

Just wanted to say how cool it is that The National did a song for this. This, along with making a song for a video game and using Kristen Schaal for a music video should make them eligible for the coolest sad band award.
