Find Me On:
21 grams is AWFUL
Alright I’m too dumb to figure this out so my nominations are:
THERE WILL BE BLOOD – would have walked out of the theater for this one if I wasn’t there with two other people. The most ham-fisted anti-greed tale you will ever see. It features Daniel Day-Lewis, some creepy little kid who hardly talks, and the kid who doesn’t talk from Little Miss Sunshine (and yes, he is completely awful in this movie as well).
THE COOLER – I DID walk out of the theater for this one. But if you like clunky dialog, Maria Bello’s horrific acting, and William H. Macy’s pubes than definitely check it out. Alec Baldwin is a sinister/unintentionally-hilarious casino owner or mob boss or something.
fuck how do you post images here. I guess I will downvote myself.
Isn’t putting a GLEE-reated avatar into your Videogum profile enough to come out of the closet these days???
I would like to nominate the film “Bewitched” (2005 version).
I saw this movie with an ex-girlfriend who literally fell asleep in the theater about 30 minutes into it. I was incredibly jealous of her. It is highly sexist, nonsensical, and somehow manages to be completely unfunny while featuring such skilled actors as Will Ferrell, Michael Caine, Jason Schwartzman, Steve Carrell, and Steven Colbert.
I would include a humorous GIF but this tends to get your nomination ignored more often than not.
the conversation begins and ends with INCEPTION. I would like to formally give it the Oscar right now if possible. Centuries from now it will be the film by which all 5D Holographic Film Experiences (C) will be judged.
Just watch the trailer and try not to cream your pants
I don’t think it was necessarily in reference to his real age – I always saw Kenneth as the opposite of a man-child (a child-man if you will) whereby he was young but had the sensibilities and ideals of a 90 year old.
Certainly we all have a friend like this…
Cue Alec Baldwin looking like he’s about to puke: “They’re called ‘Spanks’”
Thank god my wife has them or I wouldn’t understand that joke at all!
Personally I find it more interesting to see Videogum rip into movies that some people actually enjoy rather than slam movies that we can all agree are universally awful. But perhaps that isn’t really the point of this feature.
The movies that you like all suck, I guess
