I wonder if Sarah Jessica Parker’s character in New Year’s Eve will finally let herself go and wear something chic; that’s something I’d like to see from her, as an actress, for sure. WATCH OUT, UNTRODDEN GROUND, THIS MOVIE IS HEADED YOUR WAY

Hello, old-school monster “K” here. Maybe people might listen to a story I just told on the Risk! podcast? It’s intercut with a story by Soft Gabe! Here it is:

Or, you could just watch these elephants save a baby elephant, NBD:

You are straight killing it today if killing it means writing comments I agree with

I don’t think it’s being marketed this way so much as audiences/average people are saying things like this about it. Also, the movie is, in my opinion, in no way trying too hard to be in any kind of boys club; it was an honest and fun depiction of what real women are like.

Exactly.

Did you guys know this is based on a true story?

+10Posted on Feb 14th, 2011 | re: Saturday Night Live: Russell Brand and Chris Brown (123 comments)

WHAT?? I’m surprised. Vanessa Bayer is GREAT; very talented and maybe one or two things haven’t hit, but her impressions and characters/parts are generally awesome. Same for all the new Chicagoans.

Re: Jay Pharoah, I really don’t understand why so many people don’t like him. I agree that he hasn’t gotten comfortable doing the variety of things others are doing on the show, but he is clearly very perceptive (you have to be to nail nuances in impressions like he does) and very talented. As per Nightmare’s comment about him hopefully not getting invited back: hiring someone for a 6 month to a year stint and then firing them is seriously the most bizarre thing ever, and really ignores the fact that MANY SNL performers grow into their best work. Hiring someone and expecting them to be AMAZING IN EVERYTHING IMMEDIATELY is an exercise in futility. Granted many of the performers have been doing awesome work for years before being hired, but it’s a leap from that to SNL and I honestly feel that the show is enriched by Pharoah being there. He is genuinely a different voice that is suprising and fun now and could easily grow to be incredible.

Look everyone, I know this is terrible, and I LOVE HER, but can we just talk about this:

and how they are like, twins, essentially?

“Strip sequence?” Cool words, bro. You’re doing it sexy and right.

I replied to you, and also, that doesn’t really make sense…?

Agree to disagree and also that you are protesting too much

Oh Hi, just me the fair weather commenter.

I feel like this movie is especially notable for how like, literally no one in the movie is sympathetic in the slightest. It’s like a weird shockfest of who can be the worst. And the dad? Ewww. So much eww with that guy. I saw this in the theaters! It is clearly trying to be interesting and surprising or edgy or something, and the only way it succeeds in that respect was with the out-of-nowhere Edie Falco nude scene, which had even me going, “Touche, the Quiet, touche.”

AH I JUST SAW THAT TAGLINE TODAY AND THOUGHT THE SAME THING!!!

Also, it immediately reminded me of this, which is one of my faves:

Also, a twitter joke I made (LOLRECYCLE): “I can’t wait to see Ben Foster in the new Jason Statham movie, ‘The Transporter’s Apprentice.’”

Alright, I’ll go.

I thought Jeff’d was one of the funniest things this season. Everything about it is great, and so smart. I laugh everytime I watch it, and I’ve watched it like 8 times. It’s incredible that it’s barely over 4 minutes long. Ugh, WHY DON’T I MARRY IT?

In all fairness to American Beauty and Fight Club, they didn’t know 9/11 was gonna come along and ruin everything.

Huh? That’s probably my favorite comment I’ve ever made.

LOOK, I get it, this is THE LAST COMMENT right now, but I just wanna say that the mention of the Steve Zahn interview made me rewatch it and laugh all over again. For that, I thank you.

I mean, yeah, smangin’ at worst.

Not to start some sort of flamegum, but can someone please explain to me why people keep saying the stair scene is rape? I’ve heard people say this IRL too, and it baffles me. I see NO rape there, sorry.
