I like how it wasn’t the Michael Scott show. His lines were few and perfect. The non-speaking scenes where he was laughing with everyone at the wedding made me feel emotions I was not prepared to feel.

oops! That image above is almost comically oversized. INTERNET! Do I need to say “shakes fist” here? Cause, obviously, fist shakes.

I was kind of hoping/half expecting that Jon Benjamin would look like this:

This seems like a good as time as any to mention that Die Hard is my favorite Christmas movie.

Followed unsurprisingly close by Die Hard 2.

That second one’s filmed in a motel room, yes?

Shut it down.

I was glad I stuck around for Archer as I:

a. Had no idea it existed
and
b. Love Frisky Dingo

Whenever I see Sunny I just immediately think “this is the best thing on tv.” I love me some 30 Rock, but Sunny is so great. There is next to nothing redeeming about any character. It’s like Seinfeld with less tapered jeans and sweaters.

I love his muted reaction. Like how he was kinda expecting someone to throw a shoe. He barely lifts his hands up. I have now forgiven him for the last 8 years. Join me, America.

What about love for Kath and Kim? It keeps getting better and outperformed both The Office (no longer that funny) and 30 Rock (a rare off night) last night.

The Gang Cracks The Liberty Bell was almost shark jumpingly terrible. I would rank the episode where Dee and Charlie eat human flesh higher (is that the Manhunters one?) Part of me was sad the gang had to reprise Nightman this week – I almost wish they would have left a classic alone. But the stage performance was just as funny as the original. Even if no one was huffing glue at the time.

Overall, I felt a little disappointed by this season as the weeks went on, but looking at this list reminds me that this show is pretty great. There was some really funny stuff this season. Nice take, Gabe.

Where’s the category for Friday Fight of the Year?

How great is it to watch 30 Rock and then switch over to Sunny? Easily the best hour of TV. It pains me to say this, but that scene where Frank pulls the gun on the family was pretty funny. But this episode was pretty uncomfortable. Like when the latino dad was filling out the credit application.

PS – “Sleep outside the bun?” Nice work.

Thanks for the shout out videogum. These episodes where the gang loses touch with reality make the show for me. Which is why the Pepe Silva scene was so great.

Now we need to get rid of DeVito, or lessen his role, or exclusively have him smoking from a bong with his foot on the bar.

While the best moments of this season have been Charlie and Dee (with the exception of Mac and Charlie faking their deaths), I wish they would split up the super duo more so they can make both plot lines awesome. Like the dumpster baby episode or the Die Hard ep. But for realsies: this show is pretty funny.
