The return of Michael Scott was great, no duh. Pam saying “He’s just so happy to have a family plan” killed me! And I loved that Phyllis was trying to create Stanley 2.0 with her fudge. The Stanley/Phyllis stuff last night might have been my favorite. Goodbye, The Office! You had your ups and downs, but I still love you.
Today was great but exhausting! I had three programs at work today, and they all were a lot of fun! In my afternoon program, we made soda bottle terrariums, dirt pudding with oreos and gummy worms, and marshmallow shooters with balloons and cups. I had as much fun planning and making the activities as the kids. I received two advance copies of books today and I can’t wait to read them. And finally, I met someone named Hootie, which was just the icing on the cake.
Community was mainly not very good, but I did love the Dean crying in a wedding dress. Jim Rash needs to be on more shows.
I liked The Office a lot, minus the “you’re enough for me” stuff with Jim and Pam. Classic Dwight and Jim! Darryl dance party! Kevin’s best friends with a baby! I did tear up when Pam was watching all the footage and when Dwight proposed. I am excited/sad about next week.
I am very happy about the results too, but Alaska was an equally deserving contestant. I think the whole Rolaskatox thing held her back from victory. I would have liked to see a full season of Alaska being awesome on her own and not that clique crap. This season has too much stupid drama for my taste, but any season of RuPaul’s Drag Race is better than most other shows. Already can’t wait for season 6!
I got back from lunch today, and my work smelled like rotten fish. It went away after a couple hours, but we couldn’t figure out where the smell was coming from or the cause. I can’t think of anything that smells like rotten fish besides rotten fish! This week has been especially strange at work.
This afternoon, my boss told me to make a list of comics for the library to buy, which is super exciting! So I am making a list of comics that I’ve wanted to read for a while but haven’t bought for myself yet ) If there are any recent can’t miss series I should suggest, let me know!
And I saw these books yesterday, so I am hoping to suddenly strike it rich: http://flavorwire.com/389041/richard-tuttles-incredible-one-of-a-kind-bindings-for-classic-books/view-all
Jujubee, Pandora Boxx, Raja, Sharon Needles, Chad Michaels, and Latrice Royale are all personal favorites. Latrice Royale is probably my favorite because she was so positive and funny, and she blessed the world with the wonderful song “Jesus is a biscuit. Let him sop you up.” Whenever RuPaul’s Drag Race is on, it is most likely my favorite show. Season 5 has some great contestants, but season 4 is probably my favorite.
LATRIIIIIIIICEEEE! She is one of my favorites!
Happy late birthday! Junk food gifts are some of my favorites! For my last birthday, a coworker gave me a TARDIS cookie jar filled with cookies! Carrot cake is my favorite birthday cake, but caramel buttercream sounds amazing!
Macklin, you son of a bitch. Always happy to see him!
Team Jinkx for the win! But if it’s Alaska, I’ll be happy too! They are both great! I am for sure team Not-Roxxy as well.
Oh this gif makes me so happy.
Today has been good, minus the fact that a lady started a conversation with me by asking if I was pregnant. When I told her I wasn’t, instead of apologizing, she just went on asking her question without acknowledging it. It was strange. I finally decided to get a smart phone, and it is very nifty. And a coworker made chocolate chip muffins! Free food at work is the best!
I had a small school group tour at work yesterday, and they were just the most adorable and polite children. When I asked them how they were, and they said in unison, “Good! How are you?” It was a little bit creepy, but more adorable than anything. They were so excited about everything the library does, and just so sweet! A girl asked when they were leaving if she could have her birthday party at the library. Sometimes my job is just great!
Maybe i’m feeling more emotional today, but this video made me sad even though I knew what was going to happen. All that time spent putting it together just to have it crumble at your feet. The lady saying, “absolute disaster” made it worse. But seriously, why would you display it that way?! Use your brain!
I know, right? The part that bothered me the most about this whole thing was his terrible impression of a child. If you’re going to call yourself a man baby, you’ve got to commit!
True fact: my sister uses cinnamon in almost everything thing she makes, sweet or not. Little did she know she was naturally curbing her metabolism! One time for Thanksgiving, she put cinnamon in mashed potatoes and they were not terrible!
That Wayne’s World cast photo is sorely missing Kurt Fuller! Russell is the best counterpart to Rob Lowe’s evilness. He is also the best on Psych!
I had Cheez-Its for the first time in a while last week, and they were way more salty than I remember. I used to eat them all the time, but the salt really outweighed the cheesy goodness. Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies are my favorite baked cheese snack.
Today was pretty good. I’m pretty far ahead in my program planning, which is a great feeling! I found that there is a surprising amount of clip art in Microsoft Word for the Y2K bug. I’ve been listening to “Mixed Bizness” by Beck while getting ready for work this week, so I’ve started each day in a good mood. AND I found out one of my coworkers is coordinating a paleontology program for adults, which is pretty much a dream come true!
There was a little girl who came in my work recently who had made her own puffy paint sweatshirt. It was a bunch of colorful lines, and she was so proud of it! I have hope she’s bringing it back in style.
One of my favorite things when I was younger was a sweatshirt one of my aunts decorated with happy Tulip colors. It said “Bad Hair Day,” and had a girl who looked like the younger version of Cathy with crazy hair and a frazzled expression. I wore it all the time, but I can’t say it ever made me feel like dancing in the moonlight.
You are not alone. I have the same problem! My sister is convinced that I snort on purpose, but I assure you, if I could control it, I would! Thankfully, it has never happened on TV.
If the final two is not Jinkx and Alaska, I will scream! They are by far the best contestants this season, and either one of them is very deserving to be called America’s Next Drag Superstar. It is tough for me to choose, but I hope Jinkx wins. Between her Little Edie and the Judy/ Liza routine, she stole my heart. I found a video of Alaska and Jinkx performing “Cabaret” together, and it was great.
It’s the title of one of my favorite RuPaul songs.
Today was great! I got to do science projects with my kid’s book group and discuss a really great book! If for some reason you are looking for a great book for upper elementary, I highly recommend The Magician’s Elephant by Kate DiCamillo. It is just fantastic!
Yesterday, all the library workers got a gift bag from the friends of the library for National Library Week. It was really nice! It had a big mug, baked goods, chocolate, tea…and Beyonce’s Midnight Heat perfume. I think someone thought it was candy (the wrapper looks a lot like a shiny Tootsie Roll), but it really made my day.

Stefon takes a road trip with Lindsey Buckingham, Vincent Price, Alan Alda, and James Carville. Bill Hader plays all the roles!
