I’m so sad I missed this. LA 2014, guys. It’s gonna happen.
Great episode! A lot of neat throwbacks. Enough that the episode felt like a new beginning of another cycle of terrible shit.
I thought the way it ended was very reminiscent of the series premiere. It’s pretty clear that Don had a lot of responsibility for making Betty into Betty, and I think we’re going to see something similar happen to Megan. Note that Betty and Henry seem almost (other than creepy pillow talk) functional, and that Betty is a lot more sympathetic than she was when she was with Don. We never saw pre-Don Betty, but we met Megan when Don did, and now we get to see awful things happen to her and either get awful or leave.
There was also a line about love that reminded me a lot of that line from the premiere – “What you call love was invented by guys like me…to sell nylons.” Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
Also, the Carousel came back.
Ahem. No Country For Old Men.

Of course the brute and rapist thinks he’s being brutalized.
