“I can’t wait til we choose stage names. Which do you think is better: Trevor St. McGoodbody or… DAVID”
THIS LINE KILLED ME
yeah for a second there I had thought we had briefly turned into arthistorygum, but then I actually read the rest of the headline
my mind was sufficiently blown yesterday:
I don’t really understand how other people gauge their “favourite movie”, but if by that they mean “most watched”, “most consistently enjoyable”, and “most widely recommended to other people who haven’t seen it yet”, then 24 Hour Party People, definitely.
the “Probably Forgotten By Now But I’m Streets-behind Like That Videogum Reference”: lots and lots of champagne

I feel like it’s the internet’s campaign to make me buy a corgi. so cute!
finally have an excuse to post this .gif on videogum
the two hours I spent making this are finally vindicated
personally, I prefer the tumblr No One Man Should Have All That Flour: Kanye lyrics rewritten to be about food
the Donna Darko meme has gotten to the point where I now sometimes think the film is actually called that
also, Donna Darko
in all honesty all I can think of when I look at this picture (and let me tell you I’ve looked at it a lot!) is “I want to go there” when my eyes zoom in on JGL
Also!
Best Documentary Feature
* Exit through the Gift Shop
I don’t even really care if it wins (okay that’s a lie, I kind of really want it to), I just want either Banksy or Thierry Guetta to show up to the ceremony
eXistenZ. please! I’m definitely no werttrew but if anything could be my Amelia this is it
as someone who is in the middle of her annual West Wing rewatch, I definitely appreciated the theme song accompanying the crazy midterm election vids. amazing as always, Gabe, champion of my heart
I remember enjoying this movie a lot, but the more and more I think about it, that enjoyment perhaps had less to do with the plot (which admittedly I barely remember any of), but rather the fantastic soundtrack (M83! Maximo Park! The Jam! sogood.gif)
once again I feel compelled to nominate eXistenZ for the WMOAT, not just because I personally consider it terrible, but I have to feel that even if I genuinely appreciated this film I would love to see Gabe review it regardless (because man is it CRAZY)
actually it’s Canada’s Project Runway that’s hosted by Iman! (and I would know, cause I also constantly hoped for a Bowie cameo! especially since it was filmed in my home town)
Canada’s Next Top Model on the other hand, though now hosted by Jay Manuel, USED to be hosted by a cylon
it’s the slow turn back at the end that makes it truly terrifying
I somehow came across the tracklisting for their album yesterday, and the tracks names alone were enough to make me shudder, with gems like: Dis iz a Rager Dude, Honey Hungry Hoe, Where We @? (Skit), Ugly Bitch With A Mustache (Skit), Goose Gogglez, and U Ain’t Crunk. ALL THE GRAMMYS PLEASE.
