Gabe! The Graduate? Day of the Locust? You are in my wheelhouse now! My wheelhouse, incidentally, is early/midcentury fiction about the mythos of Southern California. Man oh man, there are so many things you should read or watch that are just as good, if not better! Is this anyone else’s thing? Let’s talk about it!
It’s always interesting to me how movies try to capitalize on books. The Easy Money trailer quotes James Ellroy referencing Steig Larsson (underlined!), but relegates the author of the actual book to a small-fonted acknowledgement later in the trailer.
I don’t know what to say about that, other than that I find it interesting.
