Uh Oh, Videogum Has Made A Huge Mistake

Because both Lindsay and I want this to be a fun homepage that opens up a dialogue about whatever's happening in visual entertainment, we knew coming into this job that we were going to have to work really hard to stay on top of the entertainment news cycle. One great way to do that is to always monitor Google Trends. It's a useful resource the fun guys (nerds) at Google have developed that shows up-to-the-second tracking of just what exactly people are looking for, and therefore what people are probably interested in and talking about. It's super useful for young modern people interested in the latest trends.

So, let's just look at some of the hot trends going on today and make sure that we're staying on track!

Baby with two faces, definitely, but, um, Rosie Perez AND John Lequizamo? Good job, America. Way to stay on top of stuff that matters. Whoops. I just quit! Have fun you guys, today was cool bye.

i mean, i could understand back in the hayday of 'to wong fu: thanks for everything julie newmar,' but in this era of babies with 2 faces, who cares about john leguizamo.

Maybe it has something to do with this: http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Movies/04/08/people.rosieperez.ap/index.html?iref=mpstoryview

I suspect the baby with two faces is also related...

ah, i get it now, racy sex scenes between middle-aged Latin stars of the silver screen dominate the American consciousness. makes perfect sense.

but them two along with the baby with 2 faces, now that's intriguing. that movie i'd pay to see. and i'd google it every day until it's released.

i wonder if the rosie perez search has to do with finding out about kanye's lyric;
you got D's muthaf'er D's! rosie perez....

crustcake gerf

Rosie Perez was totally at that Gen Art shindig last night w/ MGMT. She ordered a bunch of Sbarro pizzas but did not share them with me. I drank whiskey and pretended to fit in.

The Gen Art thing was the afterparty for the opening of The Take, which has aforementioned sex scene.

Which was REALLLLY awkward, especially when I could see Perez and Leguiz from where I was sitting.

Hey, crustcake gerf: did you wake up with glowing ice cubes in your jacket pocket too?
