America Wants More Sherri Shepherd? America Gets More Sherri Shepherd!

thumbnail icon: America Wants More Sherri Shepherd? America Gets More Sherri Shepherd!

Sherri Shepherd proves that old adage that if you spend most of your life spouting out complete nonsense that proves on a daily basis that you have no idea what the fuck you are talking about, ever, eventually you will get your own mutli-camera sitcom. From Variety:

Lifetime has ordered 12 episodes of a multicam comedy starring "The View" co-host Sherri Shepherd that emerged from the network's own production arm.

"Sherri," in which Shepherd's character will juggle being a single mom, paralegal and actress, will mark the first self-owned comedy to air on the cabler. Series reteams Shepherd with exec producers Terri Minsky, Nina Wass and Gene Stein, all of whom worked together on "Less Than Perfect."

Premiere date has not been set. Production will take place in New York; Shepherd will continue her work on "The View."

Oh good, she will be continuing her work on The View. I would never want her Lifetime sitcom (your home for comedy) to deprive America from her provocative and, more importantly, ESSENTIAL opinion on whatever. Woof. Sherri Shepherd could give her opinion about the phonebook and I would find it uninformed and a waste of my time.

Man, America is like one big John Bender. "You want another week of Sherri Shepherd? How about another? You want a third? YOU GOT IT, PAL." When will we learn that we have nothing to prove?

Detroit Dutchgirl

Right...just like every woman in America wants Kate Gosselin's haircut. Not.

I like Kate Gosselin's haircut. It makes her looks like a lesbian who can't decide whether to be butch or femme.

Wait. Shepherd's character will juggle being a single mom, paralegal and actress. That sounds fucking reckless Sherri. You show up, help out a lawyer and then audition for the great movie role that will change your life? I bet it's called something like "The View from my Eyes".

I can't wait to see the evolution, or intelligent design, of Sherri Shepherd's comedy.

First George McFly and now John Bender? 1985 must have been a very special year for you, Gabe.

She's pretty fabulous on 30 Rock. I give her a pass for the stupidity on the View.

While I could do without her unscripted work, Shepherd's comedic efforts have always been funny to me.
