Building Them Up To Tear Them Down MTV has compiled a memorial list entitled "Michael Jackson And 10 Classic Movie Moments That Would Not Exist Without Him". Sure. Although any list that includes "the Rush Hour series," Scary Movie 3, and 13 Going On 30 is using the term "Classic" very liberally, and also has a fucked up idea of how to memorialize someone.

Ah, nobody can forget the method acting of Mr. Corey Feldman in Dream A Little Dream 2 as he channeled Michael's dancing. I heard he slept in his bed for weeks to nail that scene.

Whammy! Thanks folks, you've been a terrific audience. Eat your heart out Leno.

I am ashamed to say I clicked that link for the sole purpose of seeing whether "Dream a Little Dream" was on it. You have not failed me, MTV.

Yep, without Beat It, that Zoolander scene would have never happened. Visionary!

Yeah, I just love for the most part the scenes have a slight reference to Michael Jackson. Look out, an extra wore a jacket in a very similar fashion to MJ in Beverly Hills Cop--although I'm pretty sure the joke there is actually the absurdity of the fashion at the time, not on MJ.

Somebody's reaching for the stars over at MTV.

Frank Lloyd Wrong

Correct. If Michael Jackson hadn't existed Marty McFly would have died in the Old West, taking a number of bullets to the feet and dying, since no one knew how to dodge bullets before moonwalking was invented.

Someone has to stick up for 13 Going On 30, which is a modern classic. (Also, everyone else having login problems as well, I feel your pain.)

They really included the MJ scene from Scary Movie 3 on this list? Fuck you too, MTV.
