10 Year Old Child Prodigy Plays "Smells Like Teen Spirit" On Guitar Way Better Now

(via Unique Daily)

At first this just seems like a charming video of a 10-year-old boy playing Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" on an acoustic guitar. But it's actually pretty serious. Because the same kid, Sungha Jung, posted a previous video of himself playing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" back in May of 2007, when he as only a 9-YEAR-OLD prodigy. He's learned so much since then that it's probably hard for him to watch that older video. He probably cringes, but understands that if it hadn't been for the mistakes he'd made as a 9-year-old child prodigy playing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" on acoustic guitar, he would never have become the 10-year-old child prodigy he is today. Playing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" on acoustic guitar.

Angelaaaa

Is the kid for sale? I wiped out my entire music collection with no backup and it would be cool if he could just follow me around.

It's good to see that someone other than Chris Carraba is tricking people into thinking they're a good guitarist by using open-chord guitar tuning!
