If The Cartoon Is Anything Like The Live Action Teaser, Sit Down, Shut Up Will Make Me Laugh
FOX has a new show premiering in April called Sit Down, Shut Up. If I had to describe it, I wouldn't, I would just cut and paste the description from the show's official website:
From Emmy Award-winning writer Mitchell Hurwitz ("Arrested Development") and Eric and Kim Tannenbaum ("Two and a Half Men") comes SIT DOWN, SHUT UP, an animated comedy that focuses on the lives of staff members at a high school in a small Florida fishing town (Go Baiters!) who never lose sight of the fact that the children must ALWAYS come second. We watch them grapple with their own egos, needs and personal agendas, their petty insecurities and prejudices, unrequited loves and ruthless battles for power - and that's just at the staff meeting.
Arrested Development AND Two and a Half Men on the same show? It's like a comedy Voltron, if one of the parts of Voltron was mediocre and depressing. But whatever! Comedy! Mitch Hurwitz! That's just at the staff meeting! LOLOLOLOL. Man, don't you guys hate staff meetings? Well, no, you don't because you're 12, but you WILL.
In any case all of this is just space-filling pre-amble to post (after the jump) this really funny teaser video in which Will Arnett and Jason Bateman have an insult feud.
These guys. They could trade insults about the phone book and it would be funny. I hope when FOX says that Sit Down, Shut Up is a cartoon about a school they mean a live action documentary about Will Arnett and Jason Bateman fighting. (Thanks for the tip, Edith.)
