Twilight Writes Its Name On Its Jeans In Blood

Last night's MTV Movie Awards featured an exclusive clip from the upcoming teenage AIDS drama, Twilight. If you are 12 years old, prepare to get crazy excited:

I continue to be eluded by what it is that makes vampires so endlessly enthralling to the YAs, but as far as what could possibly be so funny about a teenage vampire wearing thermal underwear and a vest, MYSTERY SOLVED. Despite all his rage, he is still just a teenage vampire in a cage. The vest is a vampire. Etc.

Also, teenage vampires do have reflections in mirrors? I probably wouldn't have noticed this detail if they weren't having a fight in A MIRROR WAREHOUSE. Is it like an Amish thing? Teenage vampires are allowed to indulge in reflectivity and army surplus jewelry until they turn 18,000 years old, and then they have to adhere to the strict moral codes of the vampire faith by dressing in velvet capes and some other combination of jokes about vampires and the Amish religion, neither of which I understand very well.

At first I was with you on the "wtf, mirror factory?" issue, but then I remembered: I'm a 13 year old girl at heart and totally read the book. They're fighting in a dance studio, which is arguably even more hilarious than a mirror factory.

Anyway, this looks retarded. I can't wait to see it.

Is this what all those "I heart Edward Cullen" buttons on Facebook's flair application are from? Is he the new Buffy? I don't get the appeal. Vampires are interesting and all, but why do they still get to act like petulant teenagers even when they're 100 years old?

Kay, i am a HUGE fan of these books, and no its not a mirror warehouse, its a ballet studio. This scene was really short and it didn't give much away cuz of course that would ruin it for people who come see the movie.

I'm totally freakin out! and i can't wait to see this movie!

I have to admit I am obsessed with the books, and you have to read them to fully understand the whole 'teenager forever' thing and the thing about vampires having reflections. So I suggest you get reading :) ...
