Lindsay Lohan Proves Self-Satire Is Really Really Hard

thumbnail icon: Lindsay Lohan Proves Self-Satire Is Really Really Hard

In the wake of her recent meltdown that concerns Gabe greatly, Lindsay Lohan has gone to the unlikely but now official disgraced celebrity PR people, Funny Or Die, where their team of writers came up with the most overused template (a fake eHarmony video) and used Microsoft word's search and replace feature to create the least imaginative script for Lindsay using the comedy credo: "Just have the famous person detail her alleged and probably true problems while rolling her eyes a little at the same time. It's called 'satire'!":

Something about this feels downright mean, like they're using her. This video didn't do anything to make Lindsay Lohan seem less crazy. If anything, it made her seem sadder, more naive, and more easily manipulated. This is the famous person equivalent of a Girls Gone Wild video. (Also, you know, uh, ahem, meth-face.)

She is lonely. She clearly has no friends, because she's too skinny now and those hair extensions look ridiculous. It's time she put out a "Shot of Love" of her own.

Now it's not even funny sad, it's just sad sad. Go find a small town somewhere in the midwest where you can hide out for 7 or 8 years while you gain some weight Lilo, then you can do Mean Girls-level comedy again.

As sad as that woman is, I would still love to hit it.

I'm not one to kick a firecrotch while it's down, but Lilo's acting here, not so good. I'm not comparing her to Meryl Streep or anything, but the whole thing was super uncomfortable.

She seems to have pulled off the rare feat of pretending to be crazy in order to make fun of the fact that she IS crazy and, in the end, seeming even more crazy than everyone previously thought.

it's not even satire if you're basically just telling the actual truth. i'd rather see the phil specter e-harmony video.

Lindsay Lohan better lighten up on lighting up. She's a few packs of Malboros away from a Phyliis Diller voice.

Has she always had meth face like that. I mean I know she has pretty much always had the smoker's voice but the meth face seems new.

it's (relatively) new. and due to the fact that she probably really is on meth.

I couldn't have said it better myself Lindsay. It wasn't funny, it was just fact telling with an eyeroll. And she looked at the cue cards more then the folks on SNL do. BOO!

the saddest part about this isn't the video itself, but the comments left by people at FunnyorDie. There are some many dudes like "Lindsay, I would love to date you!" and leaving serious information about themselves as well as THEIR ACTUAL CONTACT INFORMATION.

Okay, I just watched it a third time, and it does seem to get better with more views. But her face (meth?) is still jarring.
