The Crazy Office Guy Video Is Probably Not Viral Marketing
Via Buzzfeed, expect to see this video of an office worker going insane and actually seeming to injure a lot of people in a serious way on the TV news very soon. It takes a few seconds to realize that there's no possible way that it's viral marketing unless viral marketing has gotten totally out of control. This is not at all like Office Space:
A full-color full-sound version that an employee took with a cellphone camera reveals that the office workers are not speaking English. (Break.com commenters say Russian, but Break.com commenters are not fact-checkers.) Totally. Messed. Up.

That's pathetic that not a one of them stepped up to take that guy down. He's laying waste to the office and they're cowering in the corners with their camera phones? Way to be men.

every time something like this happens, a bunch of people chime in and say that same thing. i've deduced that people are only capable of talking a lot of jive about taking this guy down, but nobody ever actually does when confronted with the situation.
anyway, tedious comment is tedious.

I'm sorry, Dave, that I've never been in an office melee situation so that I can prove my worth to you. Your holier than thou comment on how tedious I am isn't tedious at all.

you missed the point. it's normal for people to want to avoid conflict as much as possible, unless, of course, they're on the internet. nothing holier then thou about it.

Why aren't there any cords in the back of the computer monitors? This is a fake for sure.

I wonder if the guy with the camera phone is thinking "I'm going to film this so I can show the police!" or "I'm going to film this so I can put it on the internet and it will be AWESOME."

It's not only Russian, it's SO Russian.

Why would a security cam in Russia use the American style date stamp of 5/23/08? Wouldn't it be 23.05.08 or something? And CAM 05? Doesn't sound Russian to this professional American. But who cares if its fake? Its reasonably funny.

Maybe that's the preset on a security system made for the US market.
I agree with what people said I would of karate punched the dude POW.

If they tased him so bad... how'd he have the presence of mind to loosen his tie?

Some coverage from Russia Today, including a video with commentary in English. I have no idea of Russia Today is a legit media source, or if this is just a ridiculously elaborate piece of viral marketing.

I thought it was fake until they threw the puppy off the cliff.

I'd say it's real when looking at the woman who was hit by the monitor the entire time. She and someone else keep holding the same spot on her head. Why they don't leave the office and this woman keeps walking back and forth and is extremely interested in this man's behavior is beyond me. Maybe her injury was a set accident. The most idiotic thing about this is the amount of men who want to do nothing but record this on their camera phones. Unbelievable.
