Super Mario Live Deserves To Be Huge Today

It's another jaw-dropping Japanese Game Show cool art project thing of wonder. I feel like everyone thought of this at one point, but the execution of this live version of Super Mario is pretty spot-on and nostalgia-inducing. Other websites that have put this up today (like, the whole internet) have ruined the joke that happens at :50, but I will not, so that others may LOL at :50 like I did. Pay it forward:

The only disappointment: no turtle-kicking. That was my favorite part.

Yeah...but if in Mario's trip around the world (what was the by the way?), America is symbolized by its election of Barack Obama, that's pretty good for our tattered image.

There is TOO turtle kicking. Like 20 seconds in! At least they tried.

The turtle doesn't zip away! That was the satisfying part.

It wasn't satisfying when the shell zipped away and bounced off a pipe and killed you and then you cried and cried!!

What is this strange Japanese art form? I have seen at least one other video (involving table tennis) that utilized the same people-dressed-in-black-being-invisible thing. Why aren't there more videos of this?
