Spaghetti Cat Was On Desperate Housewives

In what is no doubt an effort to "edge-up" Desperate Housewives, last night they did that thing where TV characters acknowledge the existence of viral video in order to make the audience think "Hey, I know what that is, I'm smart!" This time it was our old friend Spaghetti Cat:

This incidence of TV/internet integration was nicely caught by Michael at DListed. (There aren't enough Spaghetti Cat Promises in the world to make me watch Desperate Housewives.)

Doesn't Desperate Housewives take place 5 years in the future now? Is Spaghetti Cat still popular then?!

What Scott said. I don't know anything about Desperate Housewives, but I heard about the 5 year jump. Is Spaghetti cat still relevant, or were the past seasons set in the past?

Like Brad above, I, uh, don't know anything about Desperate Housewives (jk's Brad), but they've been doing this flashback shit lately so mebbe that's it. I missed this episode so I'm making a guess.

Edie saying this reminds me of when my mom busts out some meme and I about fall out of my chair and go straight home.
