This Is No Movie, There's No Mekhi Phifer

If you only had one shot, one opportunity, to seize everything you ever wanted, one moment, would you capture it, or just let it slip?

Captured it! HIPPITY-HOOP-BLAH.

That'll do, internet. That'll do. (Via TheInternetIsTerrible.)

Funny how dude's normal-sized arms become the strangest part of this video after about two minutes.

"That'll do, internet. That'll do."

for so long the world felt an aching lack of babe references, particularly this babe reference. even in the years before i was conscious of the value of such references, i realize now that a dull anxiety plagued me - the sensation that this was a phrase criminally underutilized. and the longer it was undervalued, the more fearful i became that this reference, despite its evocative/comedic riches, might be forgotten forever, might disappear from humanity's collective consciousness. what cosmic injustice that would be. i now realize the futility of that existential angst. it is clear now that the phrase was simply waiting for its inevitable world-historical moment, when it would triumphantly return to the limelight and claim its rightful place among the litany of references that allowed 20-somethings in the late aughts to momentarily suspend their defensive sarcastic shells and experience genuine nostalgia, even if it be disguised by a cloak of snark.

how else to mark the occasion but to say, "that'll do, "that'll do, pig. that'll do." that'll do."

mostly, i just didn't want to be that one weird kid who kept stubbornly making that babe reference, as though i could, through sheer force of will, get the reference to happen someday.

today, REDEMPTION.

There's a Slumdog Millionaire joke in here somewhere. I just don't see it.
