Everybody Freak Out About This Fake Swinging Baby Video

One, two, three, FREAK OUT internet:

This is a Videogum Fake Video PSA. If your Mom sends you this video, horrified, now you'll know ahead of time to say "Mom, that's fake. They can do really crazy things with technology now." (Strangely, this is the first YouTube video I've ever seen with relatively intelligent commenters!) (Via Jezebel.)

Guys, Do not try this! I just tried this with my little boy and what a bad idea. Even if you think you know what you are doing, you probably don't. Like me. I'm a practicing trapeze and I tried the "helicopter move" and after I noticed something wasn't right with him. We have a doctors appointment on Tuesday. Pray for us.

Omg, please do not tell me that because you're a "practicing trapeze" that you would be qualified!
Hell, even if you were a veteran trapeze that would still be the most idiotic idea on the planet!

I hope to god that your boy is OK and that when he's cleared by doctors that the department of home and families takes him away from you.

You are a monster of a parent!

P.S. The feds can get your I.P. Address from this comment you've posted and trace it right to your front door. YOU'RE SCREWED

There is one point in this video that you can actually see the child reaching for him. There are many words to describe this video but I think fake is not one of them!!

I originally thought it was fake, too, until I saw the part where the baby was reaching for him. Anybody heard of shaken baby syndrome?

While yes, it is easier to chalk it up to fancy computer tricks, it only masks that this in fact could be true, whether they are Romanian circus folk or not. It certainly CAN happen and be real footage. Denial is desensitizing that these things happen IRL.

How can he spin it around like that without dislocating a shoulder! lol.. what if the baby was older and could state it's opinion to all the angry viewers.. it'd be like WTF what is wrong with you fucking morons, we were practicing our trapeez! retards.

funny as... and the kid loved it
notice how his transitions were smooth and fluid, i think the fact that the father knew what he was doing.. might not be right but he did it without any jarring.. the baby is fine.. take a chill pill

I see no evidence this is a fake in any way. Yes CGI has come a long way however the teltale signs of video manipulation are non existint. (Flickering screen which stops flickering is not evidence of forgery) What he is doing with his child is remarkable and a testimate to the resiliance of children. Secondly this is likely not a first attempt or spur of the moment thing. This has been practiced starting with basic movements and building as the childs muscles, ligaments etc develop. Conditioning like this will likely result in a child who does not get motion sickness, has improved spacial intellect/awareness and motor controls far above that of the uber pampered panzy Americanized children. As stated above it is all about the fluidity of movement throughout transitions. YOUR baby may not be able to tolerate this type of treatment, but your baby has not be raised to tolerate this treatment. Uber baby FTW.

Hey, c'mon people. If it is in fact real, this pair has practiced this act for a while. It is performed fluidly, there are no shocks or sudden movements and the baby is apparently enjoying it. I wouldn't suggest anyone do it without a lot of awareness about babies' anatomy and its limits, but the worst I would say is, "Don't try this at home!"

I believe that these are circus people and they have trained their children for hundreds of years like this, the father is clearly totally confidente in what he is doing, never shakes or yanks the kid, smooth moves all the way, and the kid loves it. Ive heard words like paedophilia and stuff to this vid, come on! No way! I enjoy this vid although it's as breathtaking to watch as any circus performance.

It looks like the baby came to him knowing what he was going to do. The baby was smiling at the end, maybe the father was a performer BUT, shaken baby syndrome is a good possibility and my two boys have had nurse elbow many times. Each time it gets worse and is excruciating. I was holding my sons hand in the grocery store, he was about 1 1/2 yrs old. He wanted something, I said NO, and he proceeded to flop on the floor. I had no idea why he was crying but his fricken elbow was popped out of socket. After I realized that there was something REALLY wrong and not just a temper tantrum, I took him to the doc and they popped his elbow back in. Pain gone but it weakens the ligaments that hold the bones. My youngest son had it many times and each time it happened easier and the last time he just put pressure on the elbow joint and it popped out. He has grown now but and is 10 yrs old and it stopped as he grew older but this is very dangerous. What if his hand slipped and the baby went thru the window. Damn. I could of other fun things to do with my baby that would make him laugh just as much if not more.

Don't be morons. This is a cut and dry issue. If the video is real, then thats at very least child endangerment, and at most child abuse. The inbreds, and hicks that keep saying "well the baby is fine and the guy knew what he was doing, so it's all good" is the dumbest argument or point of view ever. Is it okay if a professional race car driver takes his 1 year old in a car going 200 MPH? Duhhhh. Who cares if the child didn't get hurt? It's the POTENTIAL for the child getting hurt that's the issue idiots. If the guy flips the kid like that every day for the next year, it's possible that the child could get severely inhured or disfigured.

If the video is fake, the all you can do is give credit to the guy for a job well done with his amazing video making prowess. Bad taste, at least in the USA, is NOT a crime,. Just ask Larry Flint.

It's 100% real. It is not wise to swing a baby that way, because it could hurt his arms, even if you can't see any obvious signs of pain. But it is NOT child abuse. The Australian man who uploaded it is an unfortunate victim of a thought crime law. He should not be prosecuted.

At about 52 seconds before the end of the video, do you see the baby's legs passing through his?

Oh you’re so damn right with this “They can do really crazy things with technology now”. That is the bitter truth of nowadays! Anyway I must admit that all these baby videos even the realest and authentic ones are more then repulsive. People let’s clean the Earth and Internet through our video collections. Don’t be fouling our own nest. Interesting video, anyway

I looks pretty real, although it seemed to go on forever which bothered me a bit. Although I agree with another poster; the transitions were smooth, the father knew what he was doing. I picked this up right away, the moves were fluid and meant to cause no harm...no jarring or ill intent. This child is probably one of the newest members of a circus acrobat family and was obviously in no distress. Made me dizzy though.

What he was doing was very safe at the load rates he was doing it at..
All forces were well below 1.5g's..
Shaken baby syndrome is caused when you grab a small child and move there heads back and forth in a rapid rate.. Causing there brain the smash inside there skull's.
I was more worred that in one of the inverted moves the guy was going to get puked on.

This is a cool vid. You could see clearly that this was practiced and well rehearsed. No damage to kid at all. A baby with an injury or who has suffered some damage of some type is not going to be smiling it's little head off. The father was obviously fully aware of what he was doing and more importantly, HOW it was being done. To all the nanny-state inhabiting whining bitched (mainly women) ... shut up and fuck off with your over-the-top, "I'm so offended" attitudes. Get a life.

I though the babies arm actually falls off or something decent like that... if it is fake its boring. if its real upload videos where it hits the roof at least. Anti climax either way.
