The Art Of Meeting Men

thumbnail icon: The Art Of Meeting Men

The latest garage sale video find by the folks at everythingisterrible is like The Pickup Artist, but for ladies in the '80s, and with totally wrong advice. From this video, I learned that the best way to attract a man is to dress up in your nicest sports jersey and spill some wine on him (but not red!), while whispering in his ear about how much it turns you on when men talk about their feelings. And don't forget to bring your stuffed animals:

In the opening scene when the guy is thinking aloud about the woman, does he almost think-call her a bitch? He totally does. What a c-word. I hope their genius idea about a newspaper with only good news was a casualty of the '87 stock market crash.

It's too bad they didn't finish building the set in time to shoot the talking heads.

Also, why are they sitting on that bench? The subway is OVER THERE.

I love their completely not-real conversation at the beginning.

And those statistics. "40% of men are shy, and 80% of men have been shy at one point in their life." Science!

I contracted Shyness for a little while back in '04. This is why you need to use protection, guys. Penicillin took care of it though.

The Terminator trudged along the wooded path towards the lake, his gun dangling by his side, the taunts still ringing in his hypersensitive bionic ears. He stared at the ground as he walked, and didn't even bother scanning anything with...
