Where Is Hot Tub Time Machine's Fan Made Poster?

Hot Tub Time Machine trailer, you guys (NSFW language, headphones UP):

Right. Yes. Hot Tub Time Machine. An adult comedy about a hot tub...that is a time machine. Got it. I appreciate Hollywood's not beating around the bush on this one. The old Snakes on a Plane approach. I have had it with these monkey-fighting time machines in this Monday to Friday hot tub!

But as you may recall, when Snakes on a Plane was announced, the Internet did what the Internet does best: went crazy in a really stupid way. "The title inspired bloggers to create songs, apparel, pages of fan fiction, parody films, mock movie trailers, and even short film parody competitions" (via), and general foaming at the collective nerd mouth. And of course there was the fan made poster. Classic. Surely a movie with the name Hot Tub Time Machine deserves at least some of this e-Bonkers.

Ugh. Fine. As usual, Internet, I will do your work for you. Presenting the Hot Tub Time Machine fan-made poster.

Fandango.

Wait -- am I allowed to think this looks cool? Because anything with Craig Robinson, John Cusack and Rob Corddry in it looks cool to me. Help me untangle the Videogum snark code!

Whew.

*goes back to writing fanfiction where the hot tub takes the guys into the Stargate universe and they party with MacGyver*

Remember that episode of Stargate SG-1 where they turned the Stargate sideways and used the event horizon like a hot tub and Colonel O'Neill was giving Teal'c a bath, but O'Neill got wetter than he did?

I feel like this place is starting to turn into one of those scenes in shitty cop movies where the undercover hero is trying to integrate himself into the criminal organization that he's trying to bring down. And then there's that one moment when he says something vaguely dumb or offensive in front of everyone, and there's five seconds of awkward silence where all the thugs looks back and forth between the hero and the boss, waiting to see whether they should accept the new guy or tear him up. Then the boss starts chortling, and soon, the whole gang is howling with laughter.

That, or the scene in Eurotrip when the kids stumble into the soccer hooligan pub and nervously start singing "My Baby Takes the Morning Train" as the Manchester United song. Which I guess makes Gabe Vinnie Jones, depending on whether he can open beer bottles with just his eye sockets.

I'm a little upset, Gabe, that the name of this post wasn't "WHEN is Hot Tub Tim Machine's Fan Made Poster?" because I expect you to always make these "WHEN" Lost jokes Gabe. It's what the fans are screaming for!

i love this movie already. it's like "bill and ted's excellent adventure" (which i love. so let the down-thumbing begin!!!) along with a really talented cast. granted, the cast seems so disparate in their approaches to comedy that it could end up being a really disappointing nightmare. but at least it's not another movie with seth rogen & jonah hill, or ben stiller & vince vaughn, etc.

I thought it was normally pretty funny. Mostly because Clark (fanfic guy) was a self absorbed asshole. And did it pretty well.

If we're lucky he'll go back in time and eradicate all his movies from "America's Sweethearts" to now. And bring back Lloyd Dobler.

Can I venture that Greek (the show the kid in this movie is on) is actually pretty good and is a nice teen-alternative to the vapidness and humorlessness of Gossip Girl?

Gabe, you posted something about Time Travel with no reference to killing Hitler! I don't know if I should be impressed or a teeny bit sad.

I also capitalized time travel for some reason, but I think I'm just going to let it ride. Look out world!

I presume that this film is being billed as some kinda antidote to sappy/incomprehensible time-travel films. Apt, then, that the trailer is released mere days after Gabe's WMOAT of "The Lake House". Nice timing, guys!
