A lot of people were talking about this documentary at the March screening of The Room. It's supposed to be great. Troll 2 is a funny bad movie, but The Room is the best worst movie in my opinion -- hopefully we won't have to wait until 2021 for The Best Worst Movie 2: The Room. (Via Buzzfeed.)

I've seen troll 2, it was amazing. 'what no breakfast?' and 'they're eating her, and they're gonna eat me too' will always be the best lines of dialogue ever recorded to film but this just looks fucking sad. I don't want to know about these peoples' current lives. As far as I'm concerned they're still in the 80s.

A friend of mine snagged a copy of the DVD at SXSW. It's made by the son from the movie (who thought Troll 2 would be his ticket to child stardom), and he really did a great job with it. You come to love the dad (now a dentist), and most of the other actors, and hate the Italian director, who still defends it as a sociological exploration of America or somesuch bullshit.
Anyway, I highly recommend it. I would even go so far as to say it's genuinely heartwarming.

This is the 2nd best documentary I saw at SXSW. Its hilarious and really endearing. Its also fucking fanastic. George Hardy = nicest guy in the world.
