The Notorious B.I.G. Biopic Is Called Notorious Because The World Is Boring

The Notorious B.I.G. biopic trailer (via Nah Right), you guys:

They had me going there for awhile what with all the hard work Christopher Wallace's mom put in at the auditions, creepily deciding which actor most reminded her of her dead son. But yeah, no, biopics are still clearly the worst.

How does a movie trailer get made when the first half looks exactly like a YouTube tribute video? That's the most horribly made trailer I have ever seen!

Chadams (not your real name) nailed it. The first half looks like some fan art, and the second half looks like outtakes from VH-1's MC Hammer biopic. (Did Diddy have a contractual obligation to be portrayed by a very handsome man? He probably included a "no overbite" sub-clause for Diddy casting.)

There were two things in that trailer that made me happy: the inclusion of the song "Notorious", and a split second shot of my own street corner. Everything else was booty.

What's REALLY going to be awesome about this movie is the scene in which Diddy finds a video camera in an empty room, approaches it with a sense of intrepid wonder and then proceeds to record his first vlog. Mark my words. (Mark 'em.)
