The Princess And The Frog Looks A Little Better Now

The Princess And The Frog, which I probably a little excessively hated on last week when Disney released crappy footage prior to the real trailer, now has a real trailer:

As usual, Disney is way over self-romantic like they created childhood and art and the celebration of different cultures, but at least this gives a deeper story than that sexual predator frog and that awful Cajun firefly did. The tap dancing part looks really cool as a visual allusion, but I'm still not sure about stuff like the old lady yelling "This gon' be guuuuuuud!" The whole thing just seems too made by rich old Beverly Hills dudes not to view with a critical eye. (Thanks to Joseph and Noah for the tips!)

Wow, it started off bad, got a little bit better, but that little yell at the end made me want to kill.
Plus that narration was getting on my fucking nerves.
Or maybe I'm just primed to hate it.

If anything, this trailer makes it look even worse.

I don't want to be THAT GUY but I think the only reason this was made is because of Sasha and Malia.

your reasoning is flawless.

i know you're joking (i hope you're joking), but that sentiment will be spouted on conservative talk radio towards christmas. what's the opposite of a christmas miracle? (answer: an arbor day curse)

Like the pic! Tried for a good two minutes to come up with a "proposition" pun, but failed.

That's what I do when a talking frog won't stop bugging me too: I squish it with a book; that's just basic talking frog self-defense.

Normally I wouldn't be interested in this movie, but since it's from the same company who made Alladin and Lion King, you can count me in; at first I was thinking "who the hell's Disney?" But those references really helped me out.

Look, Disney, you can't take a major plot point of the SHREK movies and also claim that you're bringing childhood back to its state of perfect innocence and wonder and joy. If SHREK did it (changing to ugly rather than going back to pretty), it's been defiled forever.

Lindsay, since you are willing to admit you prematurely hated, I am willing to admit I and the comment section got a little caried away with the hate parade. :( I just really like cartoons ok.

Yeah, this is just like if Shrek and Beauty and the Beast and Swan Lake had a politically incorrect lovechild. That is the end of my thoughts on this trailer.....

Is it lame that the beginning with the past Disney movies made me giddy? If so, color me lame.

the 30 seconds of Disney flashbacks was the best part of the clip. After that was just DOWNHILL. Also, she turns into a frog! WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT? :O!!!!

So I guess going by the trailer that the first black disney Princess is onscreen for maybe 5 minutes then spends the rest of the movie as a frog :(
