Kicking It: A True Underdog Story
New Judd Apatow comedy, you guys:
OK, not actually a Judd Apatow comedy (zing, jokes!) but it could be. If this documentary does well enough, and HOW COULD IT NOT, then they'll probably sell the rights to turn it into a REAL movie, starring Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn as two down-on-their-luck brothers who try to get into the Homeless World Cup in order to keep the bank from foreclosing on their grandma's house.
I do appreciate that Colin Farell dresses like he's homeless for the narration, just to keep things real. It's also important that the Homeless World Cup be played on a makeshift non-regulation-size garbage field, because you don't want these guys getting any wild ideas. Seriously, what is that? Do you know how many empty soccer fields there are in the world? You can't throw a perfectly good sandwich that you're not eating as a joke without hitting an empty soccer field. "No, no, just use some garbage for the field. That's what the homeless like, anyway. And don't give them any money, they'll just spend it on the booze we're selling at concession."

What kills me is that the first homeless guy cites his goal upon his return as being to "get on methadone" but the caption says "get off methadone." That's some Michael Moore film-making there.
