Have We Even Had A Disaster Movie Recently?

There's a new trailer for the next quickie-parody film from "The guys who watch make too many movies": Disaster Movie . Except none of these movies (Enchanted, Sex And The City) were disaster movies. Those "guys" (who now don't even include the craft services caterer from Scary Movie 5 or whatever) should just make a movie every three months called Recognizable Movie:

That was a "This is bad, watch it!" I fully admit that. But these people must be stopped. Has there even been a disaster movie since, like, United 93?

It's not a movie about disasters. It's just a very descriptive title.

WTF some of these movies are still in theaters and they already got a parody movie about them. What is stopping these movies from going straight to DVD?!

It just goes to show they're on the cutting edge of disposable, lame-ass spoofs. If you've never seen one of these guys' movies (Epic Movie, Date Movie, Meet The Spartans), pick up a bootleg of this thing (they should never see a dime of your money), because its positively fascinating what subhuman levels of comedy it mines. Try thinking of the most awful, bottom of the barrel SNL or MAD TV skit you've ever seen and then imagine it 100 less funny and directed by grade schoolers.

They already parody the new Will Smith movie that isn't even out. Damn, that is planning ahead. I used to love these films, but now just feel shame. At least Leslie Nielsen doesn't make an appearance. Or did he die?

The thing is.. They are seriously making parodies of movie trailers! Hancock isn't even out yet ferchrissakes. But I guess they are just targeting people with extremely short attention spans. Specifically, the people who have already forgotten how terrible the last _____ Movie was.

Hopefully the tagline at the end of the trailer is true and they'll stop making these pieces of shit after august.
