Fired Up Is So Many Other Movies It Will Blow Your Mind

Fired Up (March 2008) stars Jan's hot assistant from The Office (Nicholas D'Agosto, who really needs to be a star, like, soon) as one of two popular football players who decides to go to cheerleader camp to try to get girls. Do they learn lessons along the way?:

While I applaud the lack of Just One Of The Guys drag in this movie, I'm a little fuzzy on exactly what mix of other movies it is. There's Bring It On, of course, a little bit of Wedding Crashers, and probably something like Step Up 2: The Streets? It seems something really obvious is missing (crowdsourcing!) One thing is certain: when it comes to the coaches and teachers, the gang is most assuredly all there, plus Kath And Kim's John Michael Higgins, fulfilling his destiny as a perfect teen-movie coach.

Wh--... I just watched that entire trailer and there was a 1 second insert of a bunch of furries on bicycles. You can't... just do that. Without explaining yourself. It wasn't even in a montage part it was just like "Here's a bunch of short clips that already make sense based on what you've seen--FURRIES--more plot-related clips."

MASCOTS not Furries. This is a movie about cheerleading not some creepy subculture. Wait...wha?...never mind.

Yes, Nicholas D'Agosto was fine on "The Office" but that's only because he only seldom spoke more than three words consecutively. To understand why he shouldn't be starring in anything, ever, try and find a clip of his recurring role on "Heroes". To be fair, it was "Heroes", which means that he was given wooden dialogue and an unplayable character (a badass kid who can fly whose name was -- wait for it -- "West Rosen".) But he still seemed especially wooden and unconvincing. Put it this way: His line readings were so awful, he made Hayden Panettiere look good.

Yikes!
I have a problem with that girl's character. Why is she "smart" enough that she can call those two guys out, yet she's dating the biggest douchebag of them all? Something doesn't add up!

Ooh! It's the hot chick from Disturbia!
Ew! It's the slutty pervy chick from Nip/Tuck!

Debacle.

He was pretty good in "Rocket Science," I thought. So maybe it was just the material on "Heroes." Then again, the Hayden Panettiere thing...huh.

Well the bitch from 90210 was in there too.

Let's see, maybe there's a little bit of Sorority Boys and some American Pie in there too.
