A teaser trailer for Vin Diesel's Babylon A.D. came out in May, but it had no dialogue and was impossible to see what was happening. But you know what they say, when God closes a window, He opens a brand new high definition trailer for Babylon A.D.:
As consumer demand for bigger explosions and more realistic special effects increases and the spectacle of the blockbuster action movie spirals out of control, movies like this will be quickly outdated. Look at Terminator 2, which was revolutionary in its time but now looks like Sexman's latest vlog to see the type of hyper-obsolesence I'm talking about. But what Babylon A.D. shows us, if not the pinnacle of action achievement, is a stunning preview of what the future of Mountain Dew commercials looks like. Mountain Dew commercials are going to be ten minutes long, super exciting, filled with insane stunts and explosions, and at the end it's just going to say: "Mountain Dew, Fuck You."
