Based on the reviews for Miramax's Reprise, the Norwegian subtitled film about a group of struggling young writers, it would be hard to live up to the hype, but I haven't been this intellectually excited about a movie this spring. (Harold And Kumar 2 doesn't count.) A review in the New York Times today calls Reprise "a blast of unadulterated movie pleasure," while the blog Cinematical names it an early contender for their list of best films of 2008. Okay, that's already too much hype, so here's the trailer (which also contains hype).

I think it looks like Trainspotting but with writers instead of heroin addicts, which is fine. And the only other movie opening this weekend is Prince Caspian.
