A Winner Doesn't Shiver
Werner Herzog has a new documentary coming out. Encounters at the End of the World trailer, you guys:
It's like a combination of Never Cry Wolf, Planet Earth, and that scene in Julien Donkey-Boy where Herzog drinks cough syrup out of a slipper. Herzog has long stated that his goal as a film-maker has been to capture previously unseen images, so it makes sense that at some point he was like "fuck all this making it up, let's just go put on some neoprene wet suits and sort it out." Mostly I just like hearing him talk. Herzog could narrate a documentary about the phone book and I'd want to see it.
Encounters at the End of the World gets a limited release on June 11th.

Is that Tuvan throat singing AND Balkan 9-part harmony choral music on the soundtrack? I am so there!

he was on conan last night and they showed a clip of a TV interview he did during which he got shot in the gut (literally), paused, saw he was bleeding, laughed it off and kept on talking. which is really funny because that actually happened to me once. werner herzog is my boyfriend.
