"Sweeps Week"? More Like "Stupid Week," Am I Right You Guys?!

thumbnail icon: "Sweeps Week"? More Like "Stupid Week," Am I Right You Guys?!

This is real. Real dumb. Reports the Futon Critic:

A special two-hour "winner takes all" Star Wars-themed episode of Deal or No Deal will shift NBC's sweep month into hyperdrive on Monday, April 28 with guest supporters Carrie Fisher, Chewbacca, R2D2 and Darth Vader as the villainous banker.

That's it for Star Wars, right? Like, all the good will that was drained by Jar Jar Binks left us with nothing but our nostalgic respect for the original trilogy, and the hope that with enough time we could revise history and leave the legacy intact. But now we're done. It's time to sink Star Wars to the bottom of Whoops Ocean, along with Michael Jackson, The O.C., and Robert De Niro.

This is brilliant. I cannot wait to see someone negotiating with Vader. Such amazingly bad TV is going to be made!

You Can Make It Up: Robert Pattinson Meets An Actual Vampire

Robert Pattinson stood in front of the mirror and mussed at his carefully unkempt bedhead for only 30 minutes that morning, rather than the usual full hour. He was in a hurry. Last night he'd been out partying with a...
