Also, rumor has it Rahm Emanuel was the inspiration for Josh Lyman on the West Wing. Which starred Martin Sheen. I bet this could be a lot of circles.

Nah, I just went through a phase where I was super into the West Wing. And maybe developed a bit of a crush on Josh Lyman. ;)

Hoooooold on. Rahm Emanuel was the basis for Josh Lyman, but even better:

Barack Obama was used as a major source of inspiration for Jimmy Smitt's character (Matthew Santos) during the last season of the West Wing. He was an idealistic Hispanic democrat who chose Josh Lyman to be HIS chief of staff, and also won the election.
