Two More Funny SNL Sketches: Paul Rudd Sings!

Since it's just going to have to be Paul Rudd day, here's a correction: upon further reflection, both of these sketches were funnier than Sproingo. And now they're on the internet in video form:

Road trip confessions:

Kristen Wiig and Paul Rudd sing -- worth it just for Paul's Mom jeans:

The last one was another Kristin Wiig feat of memorization sketch, which seems to be one of her specialties. That sketch was a lot harder than Timberlakes's!

I laughed pretty hard when they went through the entire tracking number

These are funny?

The first clip had a few good lines before it turned sad and weird. The 2nd one makes me wish I didn't watch it.

I guess this weeks show peaked with its commercials.

I hate to diminish your impression of Kristen Wig's memorization skills, but they use cue cards on SNL.

ROFL! If you don't think Kristen Wiig is funny in this skit, then you just don't have any sense of humor whatsoever!

wha? someone actually needs an explanation as to why the second clip is funny? They're either too young to remember "ode to Billy Joe" or too stupid to live. Kristen Wiig is my hero, that was HILARIOUS!

THANK YOU for posting the second clip. Between Will Forte's ever angering facial expressions, and Kristen's dip dancing...I was in tears.

thanks for posting this Ode to Tracking Number song/video - i couldn't fnd it anywhere - it is hilarious! (i was bored today and transcribed the lyrics):
Ode to Tracking Number

It was morning just like any other morning in the Georgia hill (wiig)

She heard a knocking at her door and up her spine she felt a tingly chill (rudd)

And she stumbled to the door and said “hey who’s that on the other side?” (wiig)

“I gotta package here for Lester Carl and Eleanor Alisha Pride.” (rudd)

She said listen here those people that you’re talking about they live next door. (wiig)

And he said “Wait a second isn’t this 5407 Johnson Road?” (rudd)

She said “Yes it is but this here is a duplex and they live in back.” (wiig)

Then he said “Let me call my manager so I can get this package tracked.” (rudd)

Then he said “Lady can I use your phone my cell ain’t got no signal that’s clear.” (wiig)

And she said “Sure enough but careful there’s a lot of broken glass over here.” (rudd)

And he tip-toed to the kitchen and he called his manager Jerome. (wiig)

He started reading off the tracking number right into her M & M phone. (rudd)

He said “31256935673452″ (wiig)

Then he continued “TKX45201267Q.” (rudd)

Then he looked at her real weird and said “the rest is covered by tape.” (wiig)

And then he lifted up the tape and read “J712438.” (rudd)

“57143577GLD5Q” (wiig)

Then it continues with “BR476913AP2″ (rudd)

Which was followed by an “asterisk then PPDL dash Q dash.” (wiig)

and then “a lower case ‘u’ hyphen 55732….”. (rudd)

but remember, their song wasn't done ahahaha

i heart paul rudd so much---sooo cute =]
omg and the tracking number IS so funny...all these haters who commented just don't understand the song and that it IS difficult to remember a jumble of letters and numbers than it is WORDS!!!!

if you can't understand why kristen wiig is hilarious all the time (this one is just one of the many!!), why the song is HIL-AR-I-OUS, why will forte's initial happiness of the song turned into infuriation for its repetetiveness is sooo funny, or why paul rudd can hold his own in hosting an SNL episode (and SHOULD do it again), then they're just lame people w/ not a humorous bone in their body =]

Saw the the Wiig/Rudd skit again on TV last night - It's been a while, so I forgot how FUNNY it was! Hy-larious!!! I was crying laughing! It helps to know the original song--that adds to the humor; but even if you don't it's still funny the way they sing the tracking number of the package!

This is absolutely a gutbuster..and I was aggressively looking for this on the web THANX for posting...Half of the hilarity is lost however, if you aren't familiar with Bobbie Gentry's "Ode to Billy Joe"..the similarity being it's somewhat wandering rambling narrative with stops for trivialities along the way. THAT'S what makes this howlingly funny. I was hoping Maya Rudolph was going to emerge as the next SNL diva after Tina Fey left, because she certainly deserved to, but Amy Poehler stole her thunder. It's nice to see Kristen Whig get a chance to stretch out a little..she's very funny!

Obviously you have no experience with this since you made such a stupid comment. It's a hard task memorizing lines, especially ones like in this song where there's a whole bunch letters and numbers strung together. Cue cards won't help you with that live when you're trying to read them and sing.
Idiot.
