SNL Just The Funny Parts: Alec Baldwin Did Not Play The Banjo

thumbnail icon: SNL Just The Funny Parts: Alec Baldwin Did Not Play The Banjo

The reason Alec Baldwin has hosted SNL so many times is because Alec Baldwin has the magical ability to raise even the dullest, most overlong sketch to a level where there's at least one thing funny about it: Alec Baldwin's face. While this episode wasn't great (and not even Alec's face could save the "Scheduling Meeting" sketch, though the line about volunteering at a glory hole was kind of funny), it wasn't the worst, either. After the jump, the five funniest parts.

5. Alec Baldwin As Gary Jonas, The Fourth Jonas Brother (At least it was better than the Jonas Digital Short.)

4. Just Alec Baldwin's Part Of The Cougar Den Sketch (Feat. Cameron Diaz). "A Thick Pamphlet?":

3. Alec Baldwin's Monologue Feat. Jack MacBrayer:
"Always be closing, please!":

2. Sir Mix-A-Lot Photo Shop: Sir Mix-A-Lot will always be funny:

1. Wii Guys: It took me thirty full seconds to get this:

That last one is just begging for an animated .gif.

Are you kidding? Those were the WORST. The only sketch that came close to a winner was the "death cough". (not pictured) A Sir Mix A Lot joke, and a "jerk off with the wii" joke? Really?

that wii splooge jerk off joke was horrible, and the only part of that episode that was funny was the "thick pamphlet" part.

To paraphrase Gabe, whoops, time to send SNL back to jail!

The Jonas/Baldwin sketch was okay, but by no means was it better than the digital short. Those videos were terrific, thought they were just further proof that you CANNOT understand WTF they're singing! (The Jonases' pipes are merely tools of subliminal marketing & brainwashing.)

i thought baldwin's richard burton was hilarious. most of the show was as boring as that pathetic (yet accurate) opening GOP sketch.

Did anyone else think it was hilarious that the Jonas Brothers performance was between one sketch about frequenting glory holes and another about wii masturbating?

Stop using hulu and nbc for your clips! Canadians can't watch them, which means Norm MacDonald can't watch them.
