HIMYM: Hey, Remember That Great Mr. Show Intervention Sketch?

There were a lot of interventions on last night's How I Met Your Mother. There were interventions for alcohol abuse, the wearing of a funny hat, the performing of too many magic tricks, speaking with an English accent, the improper pronunciation of the word "douche", and, most notably, an intervention about interventions. Hey, that sounds familiar!

Every Mr. Show sketch is a classic Mr. Show sketch, but this one, The Intervention, is really a classic Mr. Show sketch. So let's watch that, because it's awesome:

And HIMYM was terrible last night. The beginning w/ Barney from the future ensures that I will never watch this show again.

I'm not ready to take it that far yet, but they're really scraping the bottom of the barrel for Barney. The fact that Ted's not wearing a ring one year in the future gives me hope, but I'm not sure I can take it that much longer.

and ted already referenced having his birthday in the apartment (and something about robin living there) a year after birthday (last season), so can we just get over the whole stella thing already?
