30 Rock: Wait, Grizz And Dot Com Are In Couple's Counseling?

thumbnail icon: 30 Rock: Wait, Grizz And Dot Com Are In Couple's Counseling?

Last night's 30 Rock wasn't as "edgy" as this season has been so far (though Kenneth did call Liz "The C-Word: Cranky Sue"), but that's okay, because it had genuine heart! Jack realized his mother wasn't as horrible as he'd thought, Liz realized poor people weren't as horrible as she'd thought, and we realized that there may be more to Grizz and Dot Com's relationship than we'd thought. (Seriously, the 30 Rock spinoff should be just about them.) After the jump, some of the best moments from the show. Also, Tina Fey's real-life husband had a cameo!

(They all look the same because Hulu hasn't figured screencaps out yet.)

Jenna explains her "surrogate family":

Jack realizes that his mother put out so he could have presents as a kid:

And though they claimed to "both have girlfriends" earlier in the episode, this moment hints that Grizz and Dot Com might be a couple, or are at least in some sort of weird entourage couple's counseling:

And in a Christmas cameo miracle, Tina Fey's husband (and 30 Rock music supervisor and producer) Jeff Richmond played the piano and rolled his eyes at Jenna:

30 Rock is allowed to be heartwarming, but only once a year.

If you want to be hugged by black people, you should just host the Price Is Right.

There was so much to love, but my favorite line was:

"Exhibit C. 16-8=8"

I think the card was what made it.

What about love for Kath and Kim? It keeps getting better and outperformed both The Office (no longer that funny) and 30 Rock (a rare off night) last night.

The ep was good, but it would have been better had I had some Christmas Spirit. (I hope it's not seasonal)

I think that Grizz making that "boundaries" comment was in reference to them both having more boundaries with Tracey Jordan, not with each other. They're not in couple's counseling with each other, they're in counseling to deal with their relationship with Tracey, if anything. Right?

Oops, I meant Dot Com's comment.

If Gabe catches you confusing Grizz and Dot Com, he'll call you a racist.

I don't think Grizz's comment was in reference to Dot Com. Earlier in the episode they each said, "We both have girlfriends" to Liz, and then when Grizz sees that Dot Com's girlfriend is calling, he reminds him that Dot Com is supposed to have more boundaries with his girlfriend (a.k.a she can't call whenever she wants). It wasn't the clearest (or best) joke they've come up with, but the gay subplot might be wishful thinking on your part, Lindsay.
