Gabe was disappointed in last night's return of 30 Rock, but that's just because at first he thought MILF Island was real and wanted to dress up like a teenage boy and go there. In this triumphant-ish return-to-TV episode, after Page Six publishes an item in which one of them calls Jack "A Class-A Moron," the gang finds themselves in a struggle for his trust that mirrors the (fake, Gabe) show MILF Island, with which they are all obsessed. In this clip, Liz and Kenneth discover the inspiration for the cartoon Cathy:

I put this in my Netflix q because of all the good buzz, but this clip....ugh. Gay jokes, Stepin Fetchit and Cathy jokes? Pass.

I agree with None that this clip is not the best (although we part ways on Cathy jokes, which are the best jokes.) But I encourage you to leave it in your queue. This show is, for the most part, incredible.

I was underwhelmed, too. Something just seemed different or...off about the episode.

"triumphant-ish" is the worst thing I'll say about 30 Rock. This show had great moments!

i, for one, LOVE a good cathy joke and is this is the best constructed cathy joke aired on prime-time network tv in recent memory.

ACK! wake me when i'm a size 5 and i live in a world where cathy jokes abound!

Last nights episode wasn't the best 30 Rock episode but was still funnier than anything else on TV hands down. It had me ad erection cove all night.

The Cathy bit was lame. Those off-handed throwaway bits for me are the weakest recurring part of 30 Rock, when it devolves into Family Guy-esque gags and disrupts the otherwise solid writing.
