The Locator Finds Your Lost Loved One And Then Just Walks Away

There was a promo during 90210 last night for WE TV's new show The Locator, in which a man named Troy Dunn helps people find their long lost family and friends that premieres Saturday:

That show looks so heartwarming, but ever since first reading WE's call for participants this show has been so funny to me. Obviously, they're only using participants on air who wanted to be found, but what about the ones who didn't? Aren't they kind of annoyed? and I love the way The Locator, having Located, surveys what he's done, gives a little "My job here is done" nod, and then walks off into the sunset exactly like Michael Landon on Highway To Heaven.

Trying to find my birth father. He does not know that I am alive. I have a name and an age. My mother says that if she could see a pic of him she would be able to identify him. How do we go about this?

I FOUND MY MOM AFTER 58 YEARS BY USING ANCESTRY.COM. I HAD NO IDEA THE AMOUNT IF INFORMATION YOU CAN FIND BY USING THE COMPUTER. MY DAD HAD TAKEN ME AWAY WHEN I WAS 3 YRS. OLD AND I HADN'T SEEN MY MOTHER UNTIL I WAS 61 YEARS OLD! WE ARE JUST LIKE EACH OTHER IN EVERY WAY. I REMEMBER LITTLE SNIPETS FROM MY CHILDHOOD AND ASKED HER ABOUT THESE THINGS. SHE CONFIRMED EACH ONE. I ALSO HAVE MORE SIBLINGS NOW. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think my grandmother was Eileen Wilson (stage name) who was married to William Powell who had my mother Dorothy and gave her to the NY foundling hospital when she was 3 1/2 yr old and I think it was 1911 when she boarded that Trains bound East Texas Polish farming community.
I grew up hearing my mother say "these people are not my real paretns I come from New York City." This began my 30 years search for my true grandmother, I gained some information from the NY Library for the Performing Arts who gave me pictures of Elllien Wilson and when I got them I saw members of my family in that first picture! I need someone who can help me verify that "she" was the grandmother that we never knew. My mother told me that when the train (Orphan) stopped in Bremond is was like she woke up from a bad dream and she could not remember anything but this; "It was dark, cold and rainy when this lady named Wilson brought me to this place on night and left me there" She blanked out everything else till the train stopped in Bremond Texas. Years later I got her original birth certificate from NYC and that was her mother Eileen Wilson who left her. This is what drove me to begin my 30+ years seach but still do not have proof. Her real last name was Tierney (father's name was Thomas and mother's maiden name was Mary Hyde)and her family moved from NYC to Mt. Vernon NY when she was little and went into acting when she was 15 years old. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Martha Durham, Austin Texas
