Rooster McConaughey Continues To Make Poorer Decisions Than His Younger Brother

thumbnail icon: Rooster McConaughey Continues To Make Poorer Decisions Than His Younger Brother

Just Jared reports that Matthew McConaughey's brother, Rooster McConaughey, has signed on to participate in a new reality TV show:

Pipe supplier Rooster McConaughey aka Matthew McConaughey's older brother, has signed on as one of the stars of the new reality show, Black Gold.

From the producers of Deadliest Catch and Ice Road Truckers, Black Gold will give viewers a peek into the dangerous lives of Texas oil workers.

The motivations behind this show are obvious:

  1. There
  2. Will
  3. Be
  4. Blood

But that still doesn't explain why they're casting Rooster McConaughey. Or why his name is Rooster. Is that just what we call older siblings of famous people who aren't famous themselves? I also like Just Jared's post headline: "Matthew McConaughey's Brother Scores Own Reality Show." SCORE! He called him up and was like "Who's on top and who's on bottom now, Matthew?"

I thought The Rooster of the Sedaris family was the youngest sibling.

I've always wanted to nickname 'Rooster', then I would want someone to come and kill me, that way I could have the song 'Rooster' as my theme song.

Whenever they come to kill me the theme song would start playing and it would flash from me walking down the street to two guys in black suits loading pistols...it would all be very dramatic.

anyway, this new show doesn't sound very good.

I have met Rooster and his brother Matthew on one occasion and can tell you that Rooster is the salt of the earth. The man would give you the shirt off his back if needed. I would much rather drink a beer with Rooster than Mattheew any day of the week. Rooster's stories are halarious!
