Tracing The History Of Fake Rap: Mr. T.

"Rap is a way of saying 'knock knock.'"
"Who's there?"
"It's me. Open the door and listen to what I've got to say."
[ED. NOTE: no, it's not.]

You are correct. There are many gems from that PSA(?) other than Mother, "Would Bill Blass where clothes with your name on it?" and this video. Personally I like the opening sequence, new editions performance about peer pressure and the workout montage with the fat kid. During the work out sequence there is a song that goes. "burn.... sweat..... make your body work.... to get wet wet. Are body rock - it's so hot!" yay.

This video lost me when Mr. T approached and all the children did not run away screaming. Disbelief no longer suspended.

So old. SOOO old. I've had the mp3 on my iPod for about 3 years.

Still a classic. I can recite it, if you want.

Mr. T is a legend! What a guy. I mean who else but Mr. T? Nobody, there is only one Mr. T and whatever he says, you listen! I just got him on my GPS as a download from Navtones.com. I love it, turn left fool, if you’re driving with me, Mr. T have some rules and regulations…. Don’t give me no jibba-Jabba! You can go to the youtube.com/navtonesgps page and see a few mash-up videos they have of Mr. T there, it’s funny!

haha oh man, during the preshow of a movie i watched a while back, some gadget expert was talking about this Mr.T GPS voice. When i heard it, i involuntarily screamed "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?"

It would have been embarrassing except i think almost everyone there was in the same state of shock and awe.

"Even if you don't know it, EVERYBODY'S got a rap"

Even pedophiles and serial killers!
