"All The Single Asians" Is All The Single Worst

Boo, Mixed Company of Yale. Booooooooooooo.

You're telling me that Donna Martin can't graduate, but these women get to continue studying at an ivy league university? Hoo-wah! Come on Dean Baraby, what kind of shit show are you running over there? This is rough stuff. About halfway through, I thought they must have run out of racial stereotypes to exploit for their hackneyed lyrics, but then they found a whole bunch more of them! Also, if they're so smart, why are they called Mixed Company of Yale? Don't the laws of terrible college acapella dictate that they should be called The Treblemakers or some garbage? The Harmonious Korines? The Self-Loathers? Better. The worst is that you can just tell that they're all going to grow up into a bunch of unhappily married (to doctors, fingers crossed) Amys Poehler from Mean Girls, you know, "cool moms." Ugh. I'll walk to school, thanks. Me hate this long time. (Via Urlesque.)

Worst. Sexual. Innuendo. Ever.

At first I was like, "Oh, these are college students, you are being too hard on them. Everyone's dumb in college."

But then the second part came on and they started with those accents and I as like "Neverminds! This is the worst!"

MOST OFFENSIVE THING, EVER. As a white male who is in a committed relationship with a girl who is not technically Asian, I am outraged.

I want you to all realize someday when you're in the ER being looked after by a robotic resident that this is what kind of person they are when they're not wearing scrubs.

Thank god Gabe is here to protect the Asians from being racist towards Asians. We need more white males on sensitivity patrol.

I love that the subtitles included innappropriately placed R's, when the voices didn't.

This comment is directed to all the liberal politically correct idiots who can't see hilarious satire this video is. Kudos to Mixed Company. Obviously they were making fun of the stereotypes they encounter. Lighten up everyone.

I never said I hated it because it was offensive-it is just really stupid and has no actual humor in it!

I just cringed with my entire body. This was painful to watch. Are people seriously trying to defend it because it's satire? Mad TV was satire too, that doesn't make it funny.

It's understandable that this video makes people feel uncomfortable, these girls are taking Asian female stereotypes and throwing them in people's faces... but do understand that that in itself is the point. They are openly acknowledging the stereotypes and poking fun at them, which can help to take some of the power out of them.

jeez, for a bunch of people who are so "offended," i'm surprised y'all jumped so quickly to the conclusion that they're all pre-meds. now who's stereotyping?

for what it's worth, i think it's fine, nothing special, has a few funny moments. because i'm not asian, i can't really say whether this is offensive or not. apparently unlike a bunch of you, i don't get offended on behalf of other cultures, because they can defend themselves perfectly well. please.

also i went to their website and they're actually pretty good.

OK, so I'm shocked that people are so sensitive to stuff like this. In America's effort to be ultra PC, we've lost the ability to make fun of ourselves. If you didn't find it funny, fair enough, but don't get indignant in your anger. It's a joke.

Hm, judging by the unpopularity of prior comments insisting this was intended as a satire of racist stereotypes, I guess I'm courting trouble by suggesting the same thing. Whether it was funny/effective or not is another matter, but I highly doubt that after this video was finished, these four Asian women got together and laughed about how all Asians are just like that. Obviously, it's possible to hold stereotypes against one's own race, but I just don't get that from this video as much as I would have thought from reading the description and comments. Wrong? Oh well, at least we can all agree that all acapella singers smell like vinegar...right, guys? Catch me next Tuesday night at the Chuckleheadz off of Riverfront. I'll be sitting on Jeff Dunham's knee.
