Paris Hilton's New Movie Musical Can't Be Worse Than Rent

Everyone is making fun of Paris Hilton's upcoming movie musical Repo! The Genetic Opera, but from this clip it just looks like every musical ever, except The Sound Of Music. This clip is more than watchable for the part where Paris comes out singing in her breathy, weak non-voice. You know sometimes someone will be described as having stage presence but you don't really see it? We should all watch Paris in this clip for contrast. She has negative stage presence:

What does this remind me of? Oh! "Oh, Industry" from Beaches, which was supposed to be bad theater but is so much better than the above clip, what with Bette Midler belonging on a stage or movie and all:

I think this means Nicole Richie is going to die on a beach soon.

Nancy Reagan should get behind this. I mean making back alley drug users into musical theatre stars led by Paris Hilton has got to be the biggest drug abuse deterrent evarrr.
